Crested Butte

Overview

Founded in 1880 as a supply town for gold and silver miners, Crested Butte is now a pristine destination for skiers and other outdoor enthusiasts. Located in southwest Colorado, Crested Butte has been called “the last great Colorado ski town,” and it was officially designated as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado. In 2014, Powder Magazine’s Ski Town Throw Down voted Crested Butte as the #1 ski town in the United States.
