I’m thinking about booking but want to hold the room(s) while I check with others in my group. What is your hold policy?
Depending on availability, we can often put a temporary hold on rooms. We’ll let you know how soon we need to hear back by. Generally, we’ll hold rooms for anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on how busy we are.
Excluding our Suite, all our room rates are based on two people staying in the room. Any additional guests will be charged $10 per night.
Any guest 14 or under is considered a child. Any guest 15 or over is considered an adult.
At this time, we do not have roll-away beds available
Our nightly rate includes your room, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, use of our hot tub during office hours, free continental breakfast, fresh cookies in the afternoon, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate starting with breakfast and ending when we close the office at night.
We do not have a minimum stay requirement during any part of the year
The local tax rate for lodging is 13.4%. This includes a 9.4% sales tax and 4% lodging tax.
We do not require a deposit for reservations. We require a credit card number to complete a reservation, but we don’t hold or charge anything to the card prior to arrival. You’re also welcome to check in with a different card than the one on your reservation.
Cancellations made up to 48 hours in advance will not incur any fees or charges. For cancellations within 48 hours of a guest’s arrival date, we reserve the right to charge for the first night of a stay if we’re unable to resell the room(s).
Check-in time is 4 p.m.
Occasionally, we are able to do early check-ins but we need advance notice and cannot guarantee we’ll have a room ready before 4 p.m.
Of course, if you come to check in before 4 p.m. and we have a room ready, we’ll gladly get you in right away.
Pets are allowed but only in one of our four dedicated pet rooms. These rooms have two-queen beds and are just as nice as our other rooms. We just keep our pet rooms separate to better accommodate those with pet-allergies. We charge a $15 pet fee per night and a portion is donated to our local animal shelter. We still offer daily housekeeping but our staff will not enter the room if your pets are alone in the room.
Check-In & Transportation
We’re located in the town of Crested Butte, 3 miles south of Mt. Crested Butte where the ski resort is located. We are within a 5-10 minute walk of “downtown” Crested Butte where many of the shops and restaurants are.
We’re located across the street from the Center for the Arts and Town Park. We’re also right by the shuttle stop, movie theatre, grocery store, liquor store, and a great gourmet deli/take-out place called Frank’s Deli.
Although the ski resort is located in Mt. Crested Butte, almost all of the bars, restaurants, shops, historic buildings, and parks that make up the charm of the area are located in downtown Crested Butte. It’s better to stay in town and then take the free ski shuttle up to the resort. It’s only a ten minute ride and buses run frequently. It’s how all the locals do it and it’ll drop you off as close to the lifts as any hotel up there!
At check-in we’ll authorize your credit card (we don’t actually charge anything until checkout), we’ll fill you in on the WiFi password, breakfast time, and all the other stuff you should know about the inn. If you’d like we’ll also give you a free Crested Butte area map and give you the lay of the land. Also, feel free to ask about restaurants, trails, or anything else that comes to mind. Or come back and chat with us once you’ve gotten settled in.
We have plenty of free, onsite parking on both sides of our hotel. We can usually accommodate larger vehicles at the north end of our building, near our deck.
Gunnison Airport (GUC), located 30 miles away, is the closest airport to Crested Butte. Denver International Airport (DIA), located 5 hours away by car, is the closest major airport. Montrose is 2 hours away and Grand Junction is 3 hours away. They are both good options as well.
Two of our three entrances are accessible and we have one room that is ADA equipped.
We have a small lobby area with 3 glass-top tables. People are welcome to hang out here and groups can use this area as long as they are respectful of our quiet hours and any other guests who may be in the lobby as well. We also have a large outdoor deck with tables and benches that makes for a great summer hang out spot.
Yes, all rooms have private bathrooms. We also have a public restroom located just off the lobby.
Yes, all rooms have LED flat screen TV’s with HD cable and HBO.
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. This includes all public areas, guest rooms, and outside seating areas including our north deck.
We have a coin-operated washer and dryer available for guest use. It’s located adjacent to the lobby and we have change, laundry soap, and dryer sheets available at the front desk.
